Tony Romo leaning toward shaving off part of his collarbone

According to The Dallas Morning News, Romo is "leaning more toward undergoing a Mumford procedure," which is when "a portion of the distal clavicle is shaved off or removed." Romo's other option is to attach a plate to his clavicle. According to newspaper, the Mumford procedure is "preferred" over the option involving a plate because "it places less long-term stress on the collarbone."

The Dallas Morning News reports that it'll take Romo 6-8 weeks to recover from the procedure, which means he'll be ready to go by summer.
